Adderall Backorder (Page 43)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

There is no reduction in stimulants. The article they are referencing is about pseudoephedrine and ephedrine

Jesus people you all think these tech just intentionally subject themselves to your verbal abuse?! There is no manufactures making adderall at ANY pharmacy not Walgreens, not cvs, not publix, not win dixie. They are not picking "new customers". Nobody is getting their medication filled. Seriously stop being so mean to these techs the f*** is wrong with you people. They don't make the drug, they even order it!!! That’s the pharmacist job and if it’s on back order then nothing can be done. If the chemicals to make the drug are in shortage then we are all f***ed. Go be a chemist, learn to make it, cause clearly we are short chemist… I can't stand people who abuse techs.

It includes Schedule II medications. Adderall is a Schedule II.

I switched too! I not only found that they are always in stock, but that I can choose which generic I want to be on. I think there is something to be said for the "Mom and Pop" shops. :)

Yes I am! I’ve had to call around and now of course those who have it in, I’m having to ask who their manufacturers are because I don’t want a month of crappy adderall.

I've had similar issues. It's why I pour a little out of the capsule & store it in an emergency supply bottle. These disruptions have serious consequences for us. Whether it be arbitrary insurance policy issues that they don't bother informing us about until it's time to fill or current supply chain issues from covid, if we can get away with breaking or pouring out a medication we need for a rainy day we have to, unfortunately.
Maybe ask for a higher dose and if you can get away with pouring some out it can carry you into the next month?

FL is currently bone-dry and pharmacies have no idea when they'll restock.

It's absolutely frustrating - not only are we overworked but have to put up with 'droughts' when seeking medication in order to function properly.

South FL here and cannot find my 20mg twice daily prescription anywhere. I've called around and they pretty much laugh at me. It's so disheartening and I feel like my medication need is a joke. I've been on this for years and luckily had some 10mg left over from a few years ago but I only have a week left and I'm scared to lose my job.

Anyone in south Florida who can't fill 20mg - my pharmacy has it in stock, just filled mine last week…It’s called Prescription Pad Pharmacy…it’s in Plantation (Broward). Pharmacist Chris told me the supplier that big chain pharmacies use are all on back order.

Walgreens is ridiculous two of my kids get this medication due on the same day they fill one not the other and tell me it's out of stock and they don't know when it will be back. They can't order from a different manufacturer. They tell you go to a different pharmacy only the script is electronic so that's not possible without a new Dr appointment not to mention no pharmacy will tell you if they have it in stock IF they do they don't take new customers. ?? Walgreens does not care.

Absolutely agree. Have had my script since Jan 18th, dude said we should have it by Feb 18th… I said that’s a month away , he told me to call other pharmacies. No one will tell me anything acting like I’m fishing when I’m reality I just want my script filled. No one else was able to confirm a date but the first guy did mention the 18th. Idk we will see.

I checked on the FDA site.. googled FDA drug shortages.

It appears that the only generic Adderall that is considered an a supply is manufactured by Mylan.

All other manufactures stated available. You can investigate this yourself at the information provided above.
