Acute Pain Relief Options For Ms, Fibromyalgia, Dysphagia With Jaw Joint Replacement Desperately Needed

Im currently receiving IV chemo every 5-7 weeks to slow down progression of MS as I'm allergic to all interferons etc, I'm in tremendous pain constantly but don't want read mission to hospital it aggravates me and worsens me, please help. I'm 46, so the maxilla is trying to delay the surgery for my jaw, I take nerontin 2100mg per day and 15mg panafcort and 20mg nexiam, live off about 3 to 6 grandpas per day

Sorry to hear about the tremendous amount pain you've been dealing with. However, based on on your description and the sensitive nature of those conditions, it sounds like your best bet would be to discuss other potential treatment options with your doctor. Reason being is that only your health care provider can legally make those kinds of decisions for you, based on your medical records and other personal information.

Other types of medications that are commonly used for acute pain relief may include: oxycodone, hydrocodone, norco, percocet, and hydromorphone.

Thank you so very much for your advice. I've since been put on OxyContin 10mg 12 hourly and tramacet 2 tabs 4 times a day. I'm still experiencing pain from muscle spasms and headaches from TMJ but it is more manageable thank you. I'm going to ask about a 5 day course of solumederol to solve the muscle spasm pain. Will keep you posted!
