Actos And Bladder Cancer (Top voted first)

My husband tool actos and has bladder cancer. The FDA is investigatng the link. He now has a new medicine. Is anyone else involved in this mess?

There is some preliminary evidence reported as linking this medication to bladder cancer, though more confirmation is needed to prove it, which is why the FDA is investigating.

How long was your husband on it?

He was on it for four years before he developed bladder cancer. I know there is no validation yet, but it is an interesting concept. Avandia is another drug in the same family. We may never know if the drug caused the bladder cancer. He insisted that his doctor take him off the drug, and he is on metformin.
