Acitrom 5 Mg Side Effects On Menses

I am suffering from arterial thrombosis & was operated on (a 33 mm clot in the ankle portion of my left leg was removed) - since then I am being administered 5 mg Acitrom & PT INR is conducted every two weeks for adjusting the dosage. During my most recent menstrual cycle there has been heavy bleeding with clots for more than a week. What are the short-term & long-term implications of using Acitrom, and are there any better options available worldwide?

Heavier bleeding can be a normal side effect of this medication, since it is a blood thinner that is used to prevent clots, according to the U.S. FDA. Other side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and easy bruising.

All such medications risk causing very similar side effects, so you should take the one your doctor has prescribed.
