I have a white oblonged pill with only the markings 500 on one side. Can anyone tell me what this is? ## Is there any chance that there may be another letter on the other side. Perhaps one that could've been smudged off or faded? The closest matches I'm finding all have at least one number on the other side. There is one photo I found that appears to fit your description, but strangely enough there is no information stating what it could possibly be. You can view a photo here: visualphotos.com/image/2x5313815/two_white_oval_shaped_500_milligram_tablets I have a hunch that it's probably an OTC medication, such as Acetaminophen 500mgs, so if anyone else can confirm this that would be great too! ## Those pills on the pic look very similar to the ones that I found in my sons bac...

Ok, here's the deal - In the past I've taken Excedrin Migraine, which proved to be very effective at killing a bad headache. It combines Acetaminophen, Aspirin, and Caffeine in decent doses. Now I basically have a sensitivity to caffeine, and the med makes me feel pretty weird when I take it. So I'm just thinking of taking the Acetaminophen and Aspirin ingredients separately so that I can have the same kind of med without the caffeine. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any products in the stores which just have those two ingredients without caffeine being added in there. Thoughts anyone? Is there an OTC med out there that I missed which contains the ingredients I'm looking for? If not, could it be considered pretty safe to take the medications separately but ...

I think its a c bit it looks like maybe a half moon it riund white and it has 230 on the other side ## Hi Pam, Based on the description provided, I've identified the pill to be Acetaminophen + Oxycodone hydrochloride (325 mg - 10 mg); which is used to treat moderate to severe acute (short-term) pain. NOTE: The half moon imprint does look like a "C", but in the description of the drug the manufacturer just denotes it to be a "logo" and nothing more. I hope this helps! ## yes the 230 with the half moon or c like is oxycodone 10-325.its a sub. for percocet 10. just got it filled . ## Agree with you guys ! half pill, white oblong with son 49 ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I'm finding is a white oblong pill marked "Watson 349"; identified as Acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate (500 mg / 5 mg). There is also a score line in the center of the pill (where it may have been broken in half). This score line divides the "3" from "349" and also leaves the word "son" remaining from "Watson", when cut in half. Manufacturer: Watson Laboratories, Inc. is hydroco/apap5 gluten free? ## I was wondering if HYDOROCO/APAP5-500mg has gluten in it. I follow the celiac diet and after taking this barfed all day :) thx ## Without knowing the manufacturer of the tablets in question, I cannot tell you what the inactive ingredients are in it. Can you please post back with that information or the imprint from the tablets, so I can look it up? APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, but Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain medication and it can cause nausea and vomiting as side effects, so it is hard to say why you might have gotten sick. You can read more about the medication here: ## the generic is not gluten free. brandname vicoden is GF

500 mg of Acetaminophen (generic tylenol) formulated with 65 mg of Caffeine ## Hi Kevin, The only similar pill I can find based on the information you provided, is an extra strength green Excedrin gel cap with a white stripe in the middle. It could possibly be a generic version of Excedrin, or manufactured outside of the U.S. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. And as a last resort, you could ask them about getting the pills ingredients lab tested and brought back to you. I hope this helps!
