Have shingles, took 4 hydroco/acetaminop 5-325mg tab qua in last 2 days as prescribed. Have not had any relief from excruciating pain. When should I get some relief from pain? ## Hello, Rayna! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry that you're so miserable! The good news is that once is clears up, Shingles doesn't usually recur! Something topical might help a bit more, if used in conjunction with the pills. There are things available over the counter, such as Dermoplast and others that are sold for sunburn and such. If your doctor says it's okay for you to use one, then they can even prescribe something, or your pharmacist can help you find something to try. That problem with herpes viruses is that they are a skin condition, so they are topical and while you can take an ora...

1 REPLY Updatedm366 oblong tablet ## This tablet contains Acetaminophen 325 mg + Hydrocodone 7.5 mg. Inactive Ingredients: - Crospovidone - Magnesium Stearate - Microcrystalline Cellulose - Povidones - Corn Starch - Silicon Dioxide - Stearic Acid Ref: DailyMed ## I have been on this medicine for almost a month for knee replacement surgery. I'm weak, shaky, diarrhea. ## Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you are experiencing Hydrocodone withdrawal. It can last up to a month depending on how much and for how long...
3 REPLIES UpdatedI just started taking acetaminophen + hydrocodone 7.5/500 and still have pain (tooth). Can I take Ibuprofen at the same time? ## yes you can, little secert you can hold a mouthful of listerine or alcohol on tooth an as long as its there it will relieve pain not unless its abcessed, don t swallow either as alcohol an apap don t mix ## Does hydrocodone-acetaminophen curve your appetitve? Been taking these for many years now. ## if you h...
13 REPLIES UpdatedWhite oblong tablet with BH on one side and blank on the other side - Can you tell me what it is? ## My name is Kenny and I found a pill in my house. The tablet is white and oblong BH on one side blank on the other ## After some brief research it appears that this pill is 500 mg Acetaminophen. NDC: 70005-0006 Elysium Pharmaceutical Ltd. ## That is correct, it is provided by We Care Distributors. NDC: 70005-0006 This is just a generic for Extra Strength Tylenol and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, and headache. Is there anything I can help with?
3 REPLIES Updatedi was just wondering 500mg-5mg is the same dose as 5mg-500mg ## Hello Anthony, Spike is likely correct but I just wanted to be clear something up. Since you are posting in acetaminophen + hydrocodone section it's fairly safe to assume that the 5mg is referring to the hydrocodone and the 500mg is referring to the acetaminophen so what you'e asking is essentially is 5mg hydrocodone/500mg acetaminophen is the same as 500mg acetaminophen/5mg hydrocodone to which the answer is yes. However, if you had a different medication could have something that looks more like 300mg/425mg then it might be worth taking a look at which active ingredient is which. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you need assistance with anything else. ## Yup same thing.

5 REPLIES UpdatedTrying to confirm that the tablet I have is generic Vicodin. It is white with a score mark on one side and the inscription 176. ## Sun Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic analgesic. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are there any other questions?
1 REPLY UpdatedI took a 7.5 Watson 3203 and a 500mg Tylenol. Will I be okay? Took it for tooth pain. I have an abscess tooth. ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? While doing so just once isn't likely to cause severe issues, it is always best to consult your doctor to be sure. The Hydrocodone tablet you took contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is never a good idea to add more Acetaminophen (Tylenol) to the mix. Taking too much in any 8 hour period risks causing liver damage or liver failure. Have you consulted your dentist for assistance? ## You can verify this information through the FDA and NIH, they recommend no more than 1,000mgs per 8 hours, and no more than 3,000mgs per 24 hour period. Are you on any other medications? ## Can I take Hydrocodone/Acetaminoph...
3 REPLIES UpdatedMy Dr changed me from 10-325 to 5-325 because I broke the pill on half. The 10's were barely working. He said they did not appear in my metabolites. I called him out on this bc he must have lied. I never missed any dosages. I think he was wrong. ## Hello, Georgette! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. If you were only taking half of the prescribed dosage, then the amount might have been lower than it should have been and, in some cases, that's treated the same as it not being detected, at all. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is he still prescribing the lower dose for you? ## Well, I was on hydrocodone 10/325. I have chronic neck...
6 REPLIES UpdatedTrying to identify an oval yellow pill with letter v on one side and numbers 1096 on the other side. ## Hi bop bop, The oval yellow pill you are describing is identified as generic Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (10 mg); Manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals Inc. NOTE: The correct marking is actually "V 36 01" (pretty much an upside down version of your description) Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone is a combination of two types of pain medicine to treat moderate to severe pain. Learn More: Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## I have hydrocodone and oxycodone that's 10 yrs old/and I had teeth taking out is it OK to still take it!?? ## What is a yellow oval tablet with V on on...
3 REPLIES UpdatedIs it unusual for a pharmacy not to carry the 300mg version of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone? My Dr. that usually writes a script does it for Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 7.5mg and this script is for the 300mg version. ## No given pharmacy is under any obligation to carry any given medication in any specific dosage. Is it possible that your doctor meant to write for 325, rather than 300, with the 7.5? Have you tried contacting them to ask? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
1 REPLY UpdatedTaking 2 extra strength Tylenol 3 times a day and 1 hydrocodon acetaminophen a day. Become extremely dry mouth at night so I keep water by my bed side. Also skin looks like I have a sun tan and now my muscle in right arm hurts a little. Also woke up with swelling around my knee particularly on the back left hand side ## Dry mouth can be a normal side effect of all narcotic opiates, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation. As to the other issues you are experiencing, it is hard to way what has caused them. But the skin color change is a concern, since that could be a symptom of jaundice, which might be due to liver damage from the Acetaminophen in these medications. Have they both been prescribed for you? Has there b...
1 REPLY UpdatedHello! I was prescribed Hydrocodone/APAP 5-325 MG. (It also says on bottle: generic form NORCO 5-325). The only medication that's worked for my condition. Is there any OTC substitute or anything they'll more likely prescribe me? Everyone thinks I have an addiction. I only had a quantity of 12. I'm not having withdrawals. I could go a few days without my medication too. It just really helps. I haven't been able to work due to my condition and I need an income. But they won't give me a refill. My condition: I was given this because the past year I've been dealing with mysterious, unknown painful urination. I've seen specialists, had a ct scan done, been on multiple pills for UTI, urine culture. Nothing they can figure out. It comes up as an infection though. It...
29 REPLIES UpdatedMy 16 year old had a bad infection which need to be lanced. He was prescribed a high mg dose of Norco. When I questioned the high dose and the fact he has never taken class I or II meds I was told his size was the reason for such a high does. 6 hours later I was in the ER. He told me he was confused and wanted to know where he was. He blacked 2 hours. We were at a wedding. ## HI, Renee! Sorry about what happened to your son. What was the dosage of the Norco? It's really hard to say much about this situation, without knowing the specific details of it. Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is only available in a maximum of 10mgs Hydrocodone and 750mgs of the Acetaminophen and once a child is past 12, unless they are very tiny or have other significant medical issues, it is normal to start d...
2 REPLIES UpdatedI was recently prescribed Hydrocodone with Tylenol. It is a new formula per the pharmacist (5-325). I have had this drug in the past and found that it worked well. This new formula isn't helping my pain. Can you tell me why? I know I had Lortab before. Is this the same drug? Thanks ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? This isn't a new formula, nor a new dosage. There are several on the market that contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, including Lortab, Norco, Vicodin and others. As to why it's not helping, it just might not be the right dosage or the right medication for you. Just because it has worked in the past, doesn't always mean it will work again, since our bodies do change with time. Learn more Vicodin details here. Have you contacted your doctor about it? ## That...
2 REPLIES Updatedis lack of intrest in ever day activities and low energy a side effect ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Yes, it can cause that in some people that take it, since narcotics basically work as depressants. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you with this issue.
1 REPLY UpdatedI used to take half an Oxycodone 5/500 as needed for cervical for neck pain and it worked fine. Last night I took a whole dose for the first time because of sever stomach pain from vomiting all day. I may have eaten something bad the day before but there was nothing more in my stomach and the pain kept me awake (but I was exhausted from the ordeal). My refill is Endocet 5-325. I guess I had an allergic reaction because my feet started burning in the middle of the night and I was going insane. I iced them in a pan of cold water and ice for as long as I could (30 seconds in/30 seconds out) until I finally felt numb and fell asleep. Woke up late afternoon to the burning itch in my feet - worse than before - and burning, itching palms as well. It was too late to go to my doctor or urgent ca...
4 REPLIES UpdatedI've taken norco 7.5/325 for over a year after a mva head on collision and then neck surgury. I recently moved and have a new Dr. who gave me a urine drug screen which came back negative for hydrocodone. I take 7.5/325 everyday. What would cause the test to come back negative? ## Same thing here. My new Dr. Did urine test. I take 3 controlled drugs and it came back neg on all. I'm 62 had same Dr 30 yes. It scared me to death the way he treated me. I have to go back in a Mon. Same day all my meds run out. Is he gonna leave me in the cold.I've got chronic nerve damage for 18 yes. What should I do. If I change Dr again, insurance gets you for Dr shopping. I'm alone and scared. I felt like a criminal in his office.
1 REPLY UpdatedWith a Hydrocodone Acetaminophen dosage of one tablet per 6 hours, would double vision be a problem after 4 or 5 days? ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? Yes, it could cause that for a few weeks, until your body gets used to the medication, since this is a narcotic. However, if it is severe and problematic, then you should consult your doctor, as you may need to try a different medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
