Accidentally Took Too Much Meds?

I take Opana 30 ER and oxycodone 30 mg every 6 hrs for chronic pain for a back surgery that resulted in a fractured disc among other issues and now requires a very dangerous surgery to correct it. I have been taking narcotic drugs for several years including oxycontin and fentanyl patch.
I think I may have taken my proper dosage of Opana but double my dose of oxycodone because I couldn't remember if I had already taken it.
I'm keeping an eye on it and I seen to be fine. Just a little anxious.

In cases like this, never be afraid to call your doctor or poison control for more information.

Doubling up one time in most cases won't be dangerous, because you are already tolerant to opiates, but there are always exceptions to every rule, so there could be cases where it may be too much for someone and result in overdose or it could cause problems with another underlying medical condition.
