Accidentally Swallowed Buprenorphine
UpdatedI accidentally swallowed 16 Mgs. buprenorphine instead of under tongue. Will it work? Should I take more now?

No, you should not take more, without your doctor's approval.
The only difference between using it sublingually and swallowing them is that it may take longer to enter your blood stream, swallowing it will require about 15 to 20 minutes for it to start working.
The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
