Absorica/accutane - Side Effects 7 Months Post-med
UpdatedHi –
I took Absorica (Accutane/Isotretinoin) for 5 Mos @ 80mg Feb - Aug. 2013. Currently at 6 months post-med (Feb. 2014) and still detoxing – Redness, inflammations, facial eczema. To describe it, it almost appears the drug is slowly burning/flushing out of my skin. All areas – chin, upper lips, cheeks, forehead, hairline.
Is this normal for being 6 months post-med? Does anyone still have these effects this long after the last dose?
Heart goes out to those experiencing side effects – Experienced reactions to everything from glucose/fruit acids/potato-starches/fish oil supplements/vitamins/etc.
Best,

Hello, Jake! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having.
Have you consulted a dermatologist? It would be odd to have such side effects from a medication still occurring this long after stopping it, but only a doctor will be able to determine what is causing your problem.
