Abdominal Pain And Bruising From Coughing From Cold
UpdatedI have been on Eliquis for DVT for 6 mo and still need to be on it. Recently I have had a cold and coughed so hard it hurt my abdomen. Noticed kind of a hard bulge on Thursday. This morning I woke up and my abdomen is bruised and my side (Which I sleep on) Also is bruised. It's painful to touch but has been for a week or two, but bruising is new. I see the doc on Monday (today is Saturday) is this an urgent care or emergency room type of symptom or can I wait til Monday?

I would suggest seeing a doctor in urgent care, if you can. While easy bruising can be a typical side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA, the hard bulge is not normal and you should have that checked out to be sure.
Has there been any change?
Are you on any other medications?
