Axid Medicine Side Effects

For 7 years one Egyptian Doctor in Saudi Arabia advised me to take AXID medicine for a problem in my stomach, and I think strongly that this medicine was the cause for me to be a sugar patient the same year 2002. Can you tell me about the side effects of this medicine? Is it really can cause sugar disease?
