Are These Xanax? (Top voted first)

i refilled my prescription of xanax but they dont look the same as before. they are still light blue but instead of oval they are more oblong. with the imprint saying bp632 on one side and a line down the middle on the other side. i tried to i.d. them and it shows no results. does anyone know anything about these?

Based on the description provided, I found your blue oval/oblong shaped pill to be Alprazolam (1 mg). This happens to be the generic for Xanax.

Often times pharmacists don't tell patients that they're handing them a different version of the same medication; but I really think they should for your own safety. Reason being is that generic medications are allowed to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient. This factor, along with different inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) could enable you to have a completely different reaction to each medication. So if it doesn't work out for you, I'd definitely encourage you to speak with your doctor about this incidence.

When I visit my Pharmacy though David, its not like I have my choice of what my pharmacy is stocking. This +20/-20 does not really bother me as it all evens out in the end.
