Antibiotic Tablets For Fever

I am having a fever now ,cold and cough . every year i am suffering with typhoid and much more cough in winter.

I took Cefotil 250 per a day . but it can't work for my body for fever . Please suggest me what should i do ?

Hi Ramzan! I would call my Dr. He can put u on something that will work.

I have been suffering from fever for the past 10 days. initially I was given dolo650 for 4 days and when fever did not come down I was put on Cifron antibiotic tablets for 5 days still the fever has not come down.
Earlier about 4 and half years ago I had similar fever which was not coming down and the blood culture showed that I have staffiloccocus Aeries and was given 30 bottles of Vancomycin I,V. fluids over 10days the fever had come down.

Later again the fever had appeared and the oncologist gave some tablets which I do not remember except that it was a tablet commonly used for fevers. this gave me the relief totally. Unfortunately the doctor is not available for consultation and hence I would request you to kindly let me know if there is some medication available for this problem.

Yes, Lovelyvijay and Ramzan, antibiotics will not work for the fever symptoms of colds, because they are caused by viruses, not bacteria. For that, you can only treat the symptoms, until is runs its course, so something such as Paracetamol may help, if your doctor okays your taking it.

Gopala, how are you feeling?

For you, it really depends on what is causing the problem. If it's an infection, you'll need an antibiotic, again. You need to consult a doctor, even though it will be a different one.
