Amox/clav Pot 875/125

Hi why would my Dr. change my current med's (Augmentin 875mg) after only 5 doses @ BID to a similar if not the same AMOX/CLAV POT 875/125

The addiction of the clavulanic acid helps the antibiotic to work better.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?
