I work in the medical field. I have had random drug tests and have always tested negative on urine 9 panel. I have been in school for ultrasound. My doctor prescribed methylphenidate 54 MG ER in the A.M, focalin 5mg and 18 mg ER methyphenidate in the afternoon. I recently took a random drug test and tested positive for amphetamines. Can this be a false positive test due to the medication?

Does concerta cause a vit d defiency, vit a elevation, gluten and casien allergies? My daughter shows no symptoms to any of the above but blood tests show these results. Thankyou ## Hello, Bonnie! How is your daughter doing? No, none of those are listed as being side effects of Concerta, by the FDA. It's usual hepatic side effects are listed as including lowered blood cell counts, anemia and easy bruising. What were the numbers that were shown? Sometimes the allergy ones are detected at very low levels, so while the allergy exists, someone doesn't experience symptoms from them. For example, my mother-in-law tested as being allergic to both cats and dogs, but the one for cat dander was slightly higher and different than the one for dogs, so she is able to live with pups just fine.

My first semester in college was a disaster as I began at the age of 25 and only 3 months after leaving an all together different environment in the military where I served 4 tours in the Middle East. I never missed a class and yet my GPA at the end was a 1.75. I literally couldn’t absorb anything in class, fought off falling asleep more often than not, and couldn’t seem to apply my discipline to making myself sit and read. I need to know if this prescription is injectable. 10 pms 110? ## Pills are not made to be injectable. They contain fillers, which in some cases are meant to be expelled by the body and are not broken down. Is stattera used for ADHD ? Is it the same as hypercon 10? ## Hi Lorelle, Yes, Strattera (Atomoxetine) is in fact used for the treatment of ADHD. And based on my research, Hypercon 10 is said to contain the same active ingredient (Atomoxetine); so both drugs 'should' act in the same manner. Apparently, Hypercon 10 is manufactured in India by a company called Consern Pharma. However, I don't know anything about the legitimacy or efficacy of their products, since foreign medications aren't as strictly regulated as they are here in the US. There are loads of counterfeit drugs out there, so I do wonder if you ordered this medication from a reputable pharmacy? I had the sink full of dishes and dropped my daughter's pills everywhere. .. thought I had found them all but apparently one pill fell in the dish water... I washed and dried the dishes before I realized the pill was in the dish water. Should I be re washing all those dishes again? ## Hello, Ladygem! How are you? It is highly unlikely that with the dish detergent and drying any of the medication would be on them in enough amounts to affect anyone. I was put on 40mg of Strattera along with my anti depressant Brintellix. I have trouble focusing. I start projects but nevet complete them. I am suffering from depression and go for therapy too. Just wondering if anyone else has taken this medication & if it worked? Okay so. I have an interview tomorrow (April 29th) for a 2nd job at 9am.. I took my last adderall, it was half actually so 15mg Of Addy at 5 am this morning. Didn't know I would get the job. They do mouth swabs. I am about 105 pounds maybe 107. 20 years of age. And not really a high body mass index (fat on body) besides my legs. And I have only taken it two days day before yesterday and today but at only 15mg.. So I went three days the prior without taking them. Should I just skip it and not go? Or is there any way any one has any suggestions..? Oh and I'm 5 foot. :(

It is peach in color, round on shape, and even though it's only half the pill you can tell it was scored twice. On the opposite side there is a capital "A" and what looks like a "3" but anything else would have been on the other half. Does anyone know if this is an adderall? If so what mg? If not, does anyone know what it is or how I can find out? Found a cardboard package under 13-year-old's bed with three different colored series of pills packaged in it that you push through. The only thing written on them is the dosage (10 mg/20 mg/40 mg). The first ones are marked on the package as day 1 - 7 pink small oval pills, then days 8 - 14 oval just a little larger salmon colored pills, then days 15 - 30 are larger oval light green pills. ## Hello, Phil! I have had extensive testing through a Licensed Psychiatric Group of Doctors. This testing proved that I had been suffering with ADD all my life. This testing was done 15-20 yrs ago. Thankfully the past 5 years or more I have been taking the Medication: Adderall XR30 mg capsules (clear/orange capsules) I know this is a controlled substance and a "Triplicate" is necessary to fill the RX. *MY PROBLEM! I recently got the pink round 30 mg tablets and I find they make me tense up a lot more... sore muscles, shaky, hard to get motivated because I'm so distracted from the negative side effects... The only way I like this brand is if I take a Benzo with them to counteract. ## Hi, I think because there is a shortage right now, they are giving out corr brand vs teva(the orange ovals). The only thing I DO like about the pink ones is that they work super fast, like in 10-15 min, where the orange ones take around 45-1 hr. How long do the therapeutic effects of this medication last? Why mix amphetamine & dextroamphetamine as ingredients? ## According to Standford Medicine, Adderall's duration of action lasts for around 6 hours. They go on to state that the extended release version lasts for 10-12 hours. Source: stanford.edu/medications/adderall.html Additionally, Adderall's peak effects reportedly take place within 1-3 hours - but I'd imagine this figure would vary for each individual. As to your second question, I don't know why they would mix the two different types of amphetamine salts. I can only speculate that each one picks up where the other falls short in some pharmacological aspects. Hope this helps!

my 13 year old son was on 25 mg of Focalin XR and we recently started him on 20 mg in order to take him off of it this summer. Is it OK to stop 20 mg once school is out or do we need to go down to 15 mg before stopping all together? I told his doctor about taking him off for the summer and she didn't really indicate doing anything different. ## Are you sure taking him off the focalin for summer is a good idea. Yea school will be out so taking it to assist academic functions is not needed. However isnt this med needed to assist social development. Mason believe most people do not realize that all finctions, including academic and social are equally important which is why continuing medication during summer break is beneficial for treatment of adhd. Could anybody please be so kind as to tell me how full this capsule should be? ## Hi Chet, Unfortunately there's no way of knowing, unless of course you have x-ray vision to see through the solid blue capsule. But if you have any reason to believe that someone may have tampered with your pills, I'd probably encourage you to take it into a local pharmacy and have them compare it with one of their own for quality assurance. Better safe than sorry depending on your reasoning behind this type of question. Do some of your capsules weigh more or less than others?
