Add/adhd Doctor Needed N.va, Washington Dc Area

I've decided to go back on ADD/ADHD medication and am looking for a good doctor to basically do medication management in N.VA DC area. I work two jobs and am starting to lose my full time one due to my ADD. I'd like to find a doc who's not going to make me sit there for 50 minutes and talk about my life I'm well aware of how to live with my disorder and have been med free for last 7 years but took a promotion and I can't get any of numerous projects done in timely manner since I'm all over the place and I can't lose this job. I also don't have time for weekly sessions and the doctors I've seen so far insist on counseling sessions if I want meds. Can someone please help ASAP. Thanks

Based on my research, usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist rather than a regular medical doctor for these types of conditions. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are even more reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government; (especially if you're also not willing to setup counseling sessions to show them that you're trying to improve).

Every so often you do come across one of those doctors who don't care in the least bit and just prescribe anything you ask for, but those are becoming a needle in the hay stack.
