Yes, that is a Morphine pill. Most likely MS Contin, which is the extended release form of Morphine so make sure you swallow it whole and don't crush, chew, or break before taking in order to prevent too much being released into your system all at one time.

Wow, now that's an echo. LOL! Three of us answering the same question.
And yes, Carol is correct, it is a generic for Ms Contin, so it is a controlled release morphine, so crushing or breaking the pill can be very dangerous and may cause severe reactions or overdosage.
Here's our monograph link for more information if anyone needs it:
I found a pill and the bottle it was in and it said that it is a morphine sulfate tablet or what u call Ms Contin and i have looked it up and i dont see this tablet listed as one, and this tablet is white oval shaped with a 3 one side and a 60 on the other side of the tablet can someone tell me if this is actually that kind of pill, i dont know and i am curious on what it actually is, just because i have never seen ms contin or its generic in this color or design, so my question is it or not, and if not does any one know what it is and if it is, of course i will throw it away but i am just curious if this is actual what the bottle says it is

Yes, that is exactly what it is, it took some hunting though, the part of the imprint you are reading as a 3 actually turned out to be an E! LOL!
Anyway, yes this is a 60mg Morhpine Extended Release tablet, a generic for MS Contin manufactured by Ethex.
I couldn't locate a pic to show you, but I did confirm this in two different professional pharmaceutical ID databases that subscribe to, just so I can answer questions like yours for our board users.

Thank you for the reply on figuring out this medicine and i did actually figure out after i posted this and did some more reschearch that it was acutally an E instead of a 3 on the tablet, and i thought when i found this it was something that my dad had for awhile since he has been sick and since he has been not able to do much of his cares anymore and i have had to just start taking over his medicines and make sure he gets what he needs to take everyday, i was going through his meds, and he just wasnt able to tell me what was what and when to take it, and since he has no one listed to give his information to from the pharmacy they just would give me his list and what everything was cause of privacy laws, so i really appreciate everyones help here to help identify this medicine and to realize that this is a med he takes and not to throw it out, and to know that he needs to get from his doctor, i have helped with meds, before with peoples cares and just have never seen this kind of pill for this ms contin, so i didnt want to give it to him if that was not what it was since he had his pills all mixed up and i just wanted to be careful, so thanks again and now i know if i have any other issues with his meds i know where to go to get the help to lead me in the right direction, THANKS FROM US BOTH

You are very welcome, I am always happy to help, feel free to make a post or contact me anytime you have trouble finding information that you need.
As to the pharmacy privacy laws, yes that can be a hurdle, but you should be able to get a form from them, or they may require him to come in and get it, but they do have them so you can get his signed permission to have access to all his information.
