Re: Thomas College Grad (# 11)
That's a Ignorant statement. I'm sure you know what is flushed! A pill is not going to survive the treatment a turd endures to go into your drinking water. SMH
This is totally true. Our water supply is known to have very low (parts per million) amounts of antibiotics, coke, and other chemicals at different times in history. Also depends on your city. You would be amazed.
I've always flushed, that's what I've been told to do and that's what I will do...water does go thru all kinds of processes before it gets back to us am I right or wrong...believe I'm right....
Probably wouldn't be as much as an addiction cause I'm thinking once they legalize something then fun of doing something illegal is gone and the drug dealers woke be making any money or profit any more off of it cause it will be legal so if they made it where you could get so many every so often and limit it and maybe tax it and show is or something too that could reduce the problem
Sure, "she" was :/ The author wasn't gender specific and his/her post didn't seem parental, that's all.
I'm speaking from experience! I was up to 10 to 15 lortab 10's A DAY... I knew I had a serious problem so was able to get with a shrink/counselor/doctor. I was prescribed two suboxone a day. I took it for a year and a half. Managed to wean myself down to a total of a half strip a day.... When I ran out, the withdrawals from suboxone were far WORSE than the pills. I felt like I traded a street addiction for a "legal" addiction yet it's still a vicious cycle. I'm not passing any judgement on anybody. I'VE BEEN THERE MYSELF! I support my family, own a home, but the shame of being hooked weighs heavily. I'd be willing to talk with anybody who's struggling. YOU'RE NOT ALONE. So many of us are closet addicts. If you can break the vicious cycle you're a very strong willed person and be extremely proud of yourself. Anybody else on the downward spiral just keep your head up and reach out to people you can talk to. It helps. I wish the best for anybody on the same path. But realize suboxone is no joke and probably more addictive. It does keep you from buying off the streets though.
I am on methadone month five, still crave even at a "so called blockade dose"... And have just got used to feeling only slightly less s****y than before. I also have lupus sle and should make a T-shirt bearing my blood work results and official diagnosis from ten years ago and yesterday, to prove to all the asses who thinks that lupus is a liars disease just because I don't wear a cast etc. It's such a fight. The one damn thing that had helped pain for me, soma, they have vilified to such an extent that no docs will write them, especially with methadone... Its such a bs greed and money for the insurance company and lobbyists.
You are NOT supposed to flush pills or any medications in the toilet. You throw it in the trash. You have to think about the effects of all these chemicals being filtered through our drinking water.
You can contact your hospital and find out how to get a patient advocate. They can make big changes in the way a doc cares for and about you
Hi gateway. My name is chase. I have been addicted a while now myself and am trying to get sober. Like you i feel i would also like to be able to speak with someone at the same level myself. I feel like myself and that person could pobissibly be each others savior. But i saw your post and couldnt not reply to you. I hope for the best for you and if you need someone to talk to i could be that person. {edited for privacy}. I hope to get a response from you. God bless
It is a very hard struggle and very easy for people to say just quit. Four years ago I lost my cousin, and Best friend to drugs. (Pills) Any and every kind he could find. He was 45 years old. Mainly Lortab, zanax and soma. In my heart I done everything I could to help, but in my mind I wish I would have done more. Take care yourselves and each other you never know when it's your last day on this earth.
I work for a Municipality and work in the Water Dept. Please do not flush them. That is the worse thing to do.
I was on them along time.. I decided to stop.. These forums got me all wound up! I cut down till I was on a half. Each time I cut out a pill. I stayed 3 days.and cut another.till down to a half. Wasnt as bad as I thoughg. Check out vegan diets.you heal much faster with raw smoothies lots of water.and walking helps.hot showers..a must! Blrss you and good luck!
You are amazing my heart and my prayers go out to you I love the way you said dont give up on them so many people do and its so very sad thank you for sharing your story
Yeahh flush them so all the fish in the ocean can die of poisoning.... Throw it in the trash or properly dispose of it.
I will keep this short but informative. I was addicted to Lorcet 10/650 for 8 years that stemmed from a severe car accident. I felt hopeless cause I didn't want to take them but I had serve pain! I was taking anywhere from 10-15 pills a day & didn't get the relief I needed & still felt like I was going through withdrawal even though I just took a pill. I was turned on to methadone 10mg from close family member who had really bad medical problems. & like a miracle it worked great cause they are long lasting pills I was able to go all day with only taking 1-2 pills a day & felt great no pain or withdrawal feelings at all. I been taking them for few years & am still at similar dosing I take 2-3 a day. Read up on methadone it can help get u off pills for good. There are very addicting like most pain pills & one of the strongest pills on the market today. but they are long acting & are commonly used to help people get off any opiates. But if u use them as a means to an end they will work for u. I have helped 4 people get off pills & 2 off opiates with them. Hope this helps
I eat them like PEZ for chronic pain. I "found" that they work just great. Bugger off Stephan.
The pill you described is a 750mg Norco. Very similar to vicodin and highly addictive.
And you don't flush meds tardo goes into water treatment . wow .
