I was unable to continue Aleve after seven years. Pain pills made me to groggy and didn't really work. I was referred to a pain Dr. and was put on Limbrel 500/50mg Two times a day. This has to be the best medicine I have ever taken. I have regained my quality of life. Besides my osteoarthritis it helps me feel so much better, almost normal. I hope those of you who are about to give up hope will try this medication. It's very costly but the Dr. can give you samples and a coupon that will bring the cost down to about $50.00 a month.
My doc prescribed Limbrel this past Thursday. He advised it would take about 9 days before I noticed a change in symptoms. Today is Sunday and relief has come. Whoever discovered and compounded this food/drug...well, I bless the day he or she was born. I suffered with an arthritic spine for many years and it got markedly worse as I hit my 70's, but now I can move much more freely and so far no side effects. Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus, for this discovery!!
My liver enzymes were elavated at my last appointment so I had to stop taking it. It truly was my miracle drug bc I cannot take NSAIDS at all. Now, I can barely walk again :(
I have taken it for 2 years and it does its job very well; however, I just recently was diagnosed with abnormally high liver enzymes which are being attributed to the Limbrel. I had to stop taking it and can barely walk again
Froggie Princess: I pulled this info from prior posts. "Limbrel 500 is made by Primus pharmaceuticals. I had the same problem with Medicare not covering it, so I found a $50 coupon on the internet at Primus. The pharmacist still tried to tell me since I have Medicare that I could not use the coupon, so I had him run it as cash and then use the coupon and it worked! I only pay $50 now!" Hope this helps. Best Regards--Denny
Please see the above posts and follow instructions to get coupon from manufacturer for 50.00 month, which is affordable for the pain relief it gives. I'm 69, on Medicare and have been on Limbrel for a decade now. The coupon is for cash only and will be honored whether or not you are on Medicare. There is just no reason for you to be paying $200.00 if you will just take the time to read the prior threads on the post.
I have been on this for10years now. Could hardly walk. Don't give up I took it for 6 weeks before I began to feel relief. To recommend it to others make surethey give it time to take affect ! I would not be without It. I will be 83 in10 more days. HANG IN THERE!
Just know that Limbrel is a natural product so it will not work instantly like chemicals, although it is soooo much better for you. There are no side effects whatsoever!! I'm 69 and I had to take it for three weeks before I saw the full benefit of it. But it is so wonderful, I can not imagine life without it. the relief from arthritis is so complete. If you try it....give it a chance to work before discarding it as...."It doesn't work." It will, but there may be some patience required as was the case with me, every body is different. Denny
Hi, I was given a sample today at Dr's office. The box says it is made by Primus Pharmaceutical. According to the box, if you use the discount card it won't cost you more than $50 a month. If your insurance doesn't help pay then pharmacy should enter you as a "cash "customer and then you should get discount. If you still have any problems contact Primus Pharm. For help. I also see Limbrel connected to Magellan RX @ 1-800-510-4836. I hope this information helps you.
I am concerned about the mention of live toxicity with flavenoids mentioned. Unfortunately the Limbrel didn't give me the relief others seem to have experienced from taking it.
Can you take this with other pain meds if so can you name a few
PS.... Hoping my insurance will cover it after my Physician samples are gone if it gives me relief!!
I cannot take NSAIDs anymore because of side effects. Shocked to see the price of Limbrel!!
I just started Limbrel today. Read your comment and hope I have the same results!
The $50 coupon you get will work! I have insurance and the Limbrel was not covered. It would have cost me almost $200.
I had them run the coupon like the directions printed on the coupon. It does ring up like you are paying cash, no insurance.
It worked, and worked for the refills also!
The manufacturer is Primus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. This is their webpage: primusrx.com
Limbrel 500 is made by Primus pharmaceuticals. I had the same problem with Medicare not covering it, so I found a $50 coupon online. The pharmacist still tried to tell me since I have Medicare that I could not use the coupon, so I had him run it as cash and then use the coupon and it worked! I only pay $50 now!
P.S. to my other message. The only drug that ever helped me with severe osteo arthritis pain, was Darvocet. then they pulled it off the market. I was a heart patient and it NEVER, EVER bothered me.
The only thing now, is when I get really bad pain, I have had one epidural. And those blasted steroids keep me awake for three or four days. And then after I can finally get a nights sleep, I begin to eat like a shark. If it isn't one thing it's another.
Limbrel 500 why does it have to be so expensive? My pharmacist just says he doen't understand either.
Thanks for any help out there.
The cost of Limbrel 500 is over $200.00 every three weeks. I cannot keep this up! The coupons that the doctor gave me won't work because my Medicare and Rx coverage just wont work . B.C.BS will not pay a penny. It is the only thing that I can take that doesn't knock me out. I am in my 70'S and have been on this for over two years. I can't even find out who makes this. I would beg and plead if I could find the mfg! Plese someone help.
Thank you for sharing your experience with others!
Limbrel contains Flavocoxid and Citrated Zinc and is specially formulated to help people that suffer from Osteoarthritis.
While it can help with the pain and inflammation, it is actually considered a medical food, not a drug. It just replaces what's missing in the body of the average osteoarthritis patient.
