Is phentermine prescribed for anything other than obesity? Is it ever prescribed for traumatic brain injury? 2005 work related accident left me with TBI. I have a wonderful brain doctor...not a Workmans Comp doctor...energy is my main complaint. More energy definitely helps me with memory and coordination. Adderall is one of my meds. At times it's very hard to find. I had 3days of being out of this med so I tried my sisters phentermine 37.5 and it helped so much more than the three meds I'm prescribed for! My own doctor doesn't go for it because it's part of the phen-fen scare! Is there any more info so I can talk my doctor into letting me try it?

The oval white tablets with "specks" are phentermine 37.5 or name brand, ADIPEX. IF TAKING mixed d-amphetamine combination Rx's like ADDERAL, IT MAY be safer to discontinue one or the other. Two stimulants synergistically may not be two, but the quotient of 4 or 5. Check your BP FREQUENTLY.
