It seems there are many misunderstandings about this occurring, but I'm happy to clear this up for you.

The medications with the various doses of Hydrocodone, such as 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg are still available, it is just the ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen in them that are no longer being manufactured. From now on they will all only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Thus, for you to continue taking it, your doctor has to prescribe a different one with the lower amount of Acetaminophen,
