6mm Round White Pill With "m" In A Box On One Side; Scored W/ "15" On The Opposite Side
UpdatedI have no idea what this tiny pill is. Many years ago when I broke my hip, I got smallish pills like this, but I recall they WERE white, had a capital M inside a square on one side, and a score line on the other side with "15" printed on the upper half scored side of the pill. I’ve read that oxycodone 15s are real light green in color. Oh really? Mine is definitely white, and conforms to all other stated characteristics on this site. Could the color fade over time? Or am I just unable to pick up an alleged light green tint? Would love to know what I found here when trying to clean out under my dresser. Help appreciated. PS: if this IS an old oxycodone 15 mg pill like I used to take, it would have to be from pre-2012. Maybe 15 mg oxycodones were white back then? I always hated how small these pain pills were, and so easy to drop and not be found again... maybe like this one? Why so small? The elderly are going to be genuinely, necessarily taking oxycodone, and I bet their eyesight, even with glasses, along with hands that aren’t nimble anymore, make trying to take such an unnecessarily tiny pill a real challenge.
My suggestion would be to make the darn things large, and easily distinguishable with vibrant colors on the pills: reds, blues, hot pink, bright yellow, maybe, but colors one wouldn’t find naturally; such as white, pale green, pale blue, gray, off white, etc. From a short distance, pills these colors go easily unnoticed. You could walk right over the thing an not see it. I worry for myself because one of my cats could find one of these tiny pills, bat it around awhile, and eventually ingest some or all of the pill. I know aspirin is deadly if given to cats; what about this stuff? What about small kids who are nearer the floor than are adults, and in seeing a small pale colored something on the floor next to them, what’s the first thing the kid is going to do? Put It In Their Mouth. It’s all good and well to tell adults to be careful handling these pills, but come on! Accidents will and do happen. I advocate strongly for making oxy/pain pills easily distinguishable in a typical home or car environment by making them in colors not normally just part of the scenery as they are now. As it stands, to me, they are just too dangerous to have around others, and there will be times when one can’t help being around others who may innocently ingest one of these teeny-tiny high powered pain pills.
