Has anyone experimented with alternatives to baclofen for alchohol cravings. I'm doing pretty well on 5HTP and I'm wondering if there are others.

5HTP, also referred to as Oxitriptan is an essential amino acid, which is needed by our body. It helps regulate things such as Seratonin and Melatonin, which are both brain chemicals and if someone is lacking in them, as can be caused by alcohol or drug withdrawal and can cause the cravings, they can be severely effected.

Therefore, it does make sense that they can help people with some forms of withdrawal and the associated cravings, since it will help keep a better balance of these chemicals in the brain.

Does anyone have experience using this?
