I have been taking 24mg Hydromorph Contin for 3 years now 2 x day This does not work anymore. I was prescribed 50mg Kadian every 24hrs. They take the edge off better but after 18 hrs the pain is worse than when the Hydromorphone started to wear off. Can I take a higher dose or what would be better?

How often were you told to take it? What other medications have you tried? Have you discussed this issue with your doctor?
