5 Mg Methadone Getting Addicted (Top voted first)

i took 1- 5mg methadone for 3 days can you be addicted, i am afraid to take anymore because someone told me i can get addicted, i've only taken 1 a day, for my pain

Yes, it is possible, Methadone is actually notorious for being addicting very fast, even at low doses. It doesn't always happen, but the risk is there.

The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

There are other pain medications you can try that aren't as risky. You might want to ask your doctor about them.

Hi. Where did you get the methadone from? If it was prescribed for genuine pain then the doctor obviously feels you need it. And it may help your quality of life. Yes it's an addictive drug but that's a very low dose and a very short time. You could easily stop now and have no side effects of you are worried about taking it. Then take something less addictive. Talk to your doctor.
It would only become addictive if you start to take it over a few weeks.
