5 Days Swollen Tonsils

My son is 9years old and weights 52kgs.Hes got tonsilis now for the 5 th time in two years.
He's now on cefuroxime axetil 500mg to be taken every 12 hrs for five days.
He was also given brufen to take together.
Will this problem come to an end now?
