Doc gave me norco 5/325 pills for a toothache. What makes the norco pill more effective?

That's why there's Acetaminophen in it, it can potentiate the effectiveness of the opiate.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Have you tried taking it, yet?

I have a very bad case of fibroids and will be getting a hysterectomy in a month. But until then my OB/GYN has prescribed Norco 5/325. If one Norco 5/325 isn't working, can 2 be as effective as 1 Norco 10/325?

It has the potential, however I've been responsible with Lortab 10/650, and had been on them over 20 years, and they continued to work. Now this is why we have a opioid epidemic in this country. Some Dr's completely cut their patients off anything (I think more the younger generation). However, they were very affordable and worked, but now we have an opioid epidemic for those that were cut off and went to the street looking for relief. It's wrong on every level. If you have plenty of money, you'll get anything you ask for, and it won't be crap that doesn't work.

Ask for suboxen or at least 10/325, those will work. The Dr's are scared they'll lose their license.
