The tablet with the V 4578 marking is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Methylphenidate, which is a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and anorexia.
