Are teenagers using this pill for any other reasons? My 13 yr old daughter was out if control this evening which she is on Lexapro for anxiety an depression an when searching her bedroom an finding these pills an she is smoking which I had my suspicions but I have also been told she may even be smoking pot. I am taking her first thing tomorrow morning to our primary care physician an blood work will be done...I am really hoping I'm wrong but I think she might be going down the wrong path already...I just want to make sure this pill isn't per say being a new thing for our teens to take....

It went good..hate to admit but I had them test her and she was negative. She is on 5mg of Lexapro which she was on before an quit taking it so I am having to watch and remind her to take it...but so far it is helping. She seems not so edgy and happier.

This is listed as containing 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, which is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergies and insomnia.

There's no use for abusing it, that I'm aware of, it will not make someone high or cause the out of control type of thing that you mentioned. One of it's side effects is actually sedation, which is why it's used to help with insomnia. It's readily available over the counter.

The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

Marijuana would also not do that, it is also very calming.
