40 And 80mg Oxycontin Discontinued At Walgreens
UpdatedI was just reading everything on the site about oxy's. I used to abuse them and have found myself finally unfortunately I had to get arrested in the process but went to rehab and came out a new found person. I know someone who currently uses them because of the pain he has in his knee ankle and heel from a motorcycle accident he was in and currently has rumetory arthritis (spelled that wrong lol) but you got the hint. He just went to pick up his script for 60 pills and Walgreens had him sitting there for over an hour because they always tell him he needs the pre-authorization which is always sent by the doctor before he even goes to pick them up. So need less to say......he sat there for over an hour and was then told that THEY ARE DISCONTINUING 40 AND 80 MGS OPS AND OCS ALTOGETHER.
does anyone know what is going on? Walgreens only and I am from NY

I am not finding anything about this being an across the board thing, so if that's what they said, then it must apply to Walgreens only, as you stated.
In that case, it is entirely up to them what medications they carry and keep in stock, they aren't obligated to keep any certain ones and many places are uncomfortable carrying the higher strengths of controlled substances, because of the risk of theft.
As to the Oxycontin with the OC marking, those have been on a planned phase-out for months. Purdue has already stopped manufacturing them and replaced them with the new product with the OP marking.

Are there any questions or comments?
Oxycontin OC's have been unavailable now for months. All that's available are to OP's, which have the abuse proof timerx built into the pill. They are crush resistant, and basically totally abuse proof. They are in no way as effective as the OC's in chronic pain control. They are very similar to the reformulated Opana ER's. At least the Opana's are now available in generic and made by Global Pharmaceuticals. They are just like the original Opana's, and much much better dealing with moderate to severe pain management!! Talk to your doctor about switching you to the generic oxymorphone, or the oxymorphone IR's. They work great!!
