37.5mg Side Effects

Hi . I have been taking phentermine for just over a month now. I started out on 30mg extended release capsules which was fine no side effects (only lost 8 lbs) but anyways so my doc moved me to 37.5 tablets and
I am having a horrible upset stomach when taking this. does anyone have any advice on what i can do? and also does anyone know if the 37.5 mg white with blue speckled dots are extended release too? please help

Hi Jess, I'm going through your same situation. I too started off on 30mg & no side effects about 5 days ago I was put on 37.5mg. I force myself to eat something to eat in the morning & take the pill around noon & just drink water for the restof the day. My irratiblity level is high, I'm having complete difficulty sleeping, along with backaches and cramp-like stomach aches..so my plan is to take half a pill each day or for faster results take 1 pill every other day or 2 days...but taking 1 everyday is shocking my body & not in a good way with all these side effects

I had this trouble with phentermine too, which I started out on the 37.5 mg. Once my stomach stated hurting, I decided to get up and get active in something else. That , I found to be very effective. So I decided to stay busy and it helped to keep my mind off of it. But, I wouldnt go all day w/out eating. If you eat small meals maybe even small snacks, you just might find that your stomach wont hurt anymore. I tried it and it worked. Just remember that once you decide to get off of this diet bc you had reached your goal, excerise daily and stay active, also, eat right bc you will gain your weight back fast, maybe more than what you had before you started this diet. try splitting the pill; take half in the morning and half after lunch. this took care of the upset stomach for me. drink lots of water!

Yes, nausea can be a common side effect of this medication.

Others can include: insomnia, anorexia and headache.

If you are taking a time released formulation, PLEASE DO NOT SPLIT the tablet, this can be unsafe.

Hi, I am taking 37.5mg of phentermine (white oblong pill with blue specks, that was prescibed by my doctor. At first I felt too hyped up and having a hard time sleeping. I decided to try 1/2 pill and it seems to be working fine. I sleep a little better, but then I will take over the counter mild sleeping pills when that happens .

hello ive been taking phentermine the white small pill with blue specs also everytime you get nausuos try to eat something small usually helps me and i take the whole pill and so far its working for me 21 pounds in one month :) goodluck hope it gets better

Hi. I started in June on the yellow tab still ate no exercise lost 5 lbs. uped my dose to the blue time release capsule after a month, still eat I l drink more water though. Take this pill in the morning as soon as you get out of bed. I go to a wight loss clinic under a DR's supervision I have no problem sleeping at night.
