300mg Gabapentin To 400mg

I have a question. I have 300mg gabapentin. If I'm out of the 300mg can I take 400mg?

It would be best not to raise your dosage, without your doctor's approval.

If you do, you may experience more side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain.
