300mg Clindamycin

I have received 300mg clindamycin for exudative tonsillitis. I was told to take 4 a day for 10 days. I am on day 2 and have yet to feel any less pain. My throat is very inflamed and my voice is gone. How long does it take for the pain to start going down?

The general rule for antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening of your condition after taking them for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after taking them for a full 3 days.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
