30 Day Prescripton Of Xarelto
UpdatedMy doctor prescribed Xarelto for 30 days and then to stop. I am freaked out because everything I read says 'dont stop taking', 'irreversible'. I am over reacting or is there cause for concern?

Hello, Scot! How are you?
No, this is sometimes used short-term. The directives from the FDA not to stop taking it, means you shouldn't do so on your own, without your doctor's approval.
As to the irreversible, that refers to bleeding, there is no way to stop it, if someone starts bleeding, while taking this. It has to stop on its own, if it stops, at all.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
Is there anything else I can help with?
