She'll be fine. If she starts to feel like she's getting sick. Give her milk. Which will line the inner lining of a stomach. Or if it's really bad I guess you would have to get her stomach pump. Sorry to hear that though. My fiancé did the same thing and felt very sick. I gave her a cup of milk, told her to lay down on her side. 30 min later she was fine.

Oxy is 1 1/2 stronger than morphine sulfate. So the equivalent of 30 mg of morphine is 20 mg of oxy.

Both are good meds and both are strong
Mg vs Mg the Oxycodone is stronger by about 1 1/2 times dose.

My research has taught me that a lot of people require a much higher dose of morphine simply because it doesn't work as well as the Oxycodone for that person.

For me Morphine just does not work on my chronic severe pain. For others Morphine works just fine. Different drugs do different things to most humans. Good luck

She'll be high af feeling good but will probably start itching like hell. If so have her take benadryl for the itching, my dr told me to take them whenever I itch from those.

If 20mg oxy is equivalent to 30mg morphine then 50mg is, of course stronger than 20mg oxy. But years on morphine only left me very lethargic and unable to function, so now I take 1/2 morphine and 1/2 oxy. That is just my experience. Everyone is different.

Yes oxycodone is stronger...for me, personally it didnt last as long as oxycodone maybe an hr less. But thats ME. Ask your Dr!

I'll add to what you said, oxycodone is 1.5 times more potent (analgesically) than morphine. Listen to this man, he knows what he's saying.

Yes. If you are used to taking narcotic painkillers. They are actually prescribed together in certain chronic paun cases. However, everyone is different so always be careful when using more than one opiate/narcotic.

I would like something stronger like Dilaudid. However, anything oxy is gonna be stronger than hydro or morph... oxymorphonine or oxymorphone w/e is strong... Again, I will not be able to function... I work hard. If u are just taking meds to get messed up than take a lortab (hydro) and five to seven shots. Do not attempt. I have and was lucky to wake up. Furthermore, tolerance is a factor... being resistant to pain I need a lot... I am responsible (aka alive). It is your choice not mine... Be extremely careful if you are allergic. And if the bottle says not to drink grapefruit, do not take it with grapefruit. Usually it's also alcohol. Good luck with it your pain management.

I'm on 30 milligrams of morphine 4 times today and 20 milligrams of Oxycodone 4 times a day and I've been on it for 4 years. It is not getting rid of my pancreatitis pain and my doctor will not change my medicine what other pain medicine would be affected this medicine is not working

I need a doctor to help me have a better quality of life in know my body and anyway can you refer a doc who who give me 60mg of morphine twice a day with percent in between or oxycodone 30 2 or 3 per day and if needed perfect in between I have a HMO iNS thru blue cross blue shield of texas. Please help ever since we moved to Texas my level of life has been extremely hard to handle thank you,t.brock

just need to know if mixing these is a disaster waiting to happen. we are long users of these meds. major spine surgeries, etc.... can you mix 30mg er morphine and 30mg er oxycotin

We can all thank Prince and Micheal Jackson for the crack down of our meds. 25 years i've been fighting this battle. whats going to happen is more suicide theft and buying street drugs which is worse than having to deal with these so called pain specialists 25 years taking almost everything they make. I was barely getting by with a quality of life i could live with and in the last 6 months i've been cut by more than half and the PAIN STILL gets worse. the pain doc is going by a formula which might work for someone who has just been injured, but 300 appts just for scripts, so just imagine what my tolerance is after 25 years of legal meds. In California we have the right to suicide but not to have a say in our pain management. I know there are abusers and always will be. the dea would rather see us on street drugs so their funding isn't cut than to leave it to someone who sees me every 28 days. It's either change the law or move to another country who listens to the patient. The docs aren't much better. They want you hooked so you have to go for an office visit so they get their cut. I've never written my own script. Instead of screwing over legit patients they need to focus on the methamphetamine labs and designed drug makers. My life is hard enough that i shouldn't have to stress every month on what they are going to cut me back. Now I'm a target of being robbed or killed for what i take now. Final rant.... invent a med that attacks the pain without the addictive qualities and just watch how many suicides, thefts and arrests that will happen in the next years to come. Hang in there my fellow chronic and acute pain suffers.

Nobody should worry. but I would support her in taking the exact prescribed amount of medication. It doesn't sound like an accident to me. This is how people overdose and die. These are powerful drugs that effect the central nervous system with a dose related propensity to slow, make shallow, decrease rate of breathing. Don't worry, but treat this situation with respect because you don't want another mistake. It could be the last one.

Make sure u have enough folic acid in your diet. I didn't and no one even noticed until I got the right doctor. I now have Neuropathy every where. And it sucks. Taking large doses of folic acid 2 g 1 x a day(doc says u can't OD u pee it out), 1200mg Gabapentin 3 x a day, 100mg Lyrica 3 x a day. That is all 2 try to repair nerve damage but does not help the pain much. Also have sever spinal damage so also on Flexeril 10mg 3 x day, Dilaudid 8mg every 4-6 hrs, and Fentanyl patch every 3 days. I can walk again! Still in severe pain but before I could not even wear clothes, at times and was in a wheel chair to see the doctor. Otherwise I was in bed wishing I would just die. So, now life is awesome!

My doctor SB want to know if I want to change from 10 milligram twice a day of Oxycodone to 15 milligram twice a day of morphine and still take one oxycodone for breakthrough pain or I can keep oxycodone and go up one tablet 10 milligram of oxycodone Oxycodone which one would be better for pain
