Honestly the only way to know for sure would be to have the pill analyzed by a lab for a run down on those specific details. However I do know that some generics tend to contain a larger percentage of "inactive" ingredients (known as binders/fillers) that seem to have a detrimental effect on the bioavailability of certain drugs. I've heard that they can actually bind to the active ingredient in a such a way that hinders its ability to be fully absorbed by your body.

You can see a list of binders/fillers contained in the 224 oxycodone pill shown below (although it may be hard to pinpoint which ones are causing problems):

lactose anhydrous, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate type A potato, and FD&C Blue No. 2
