No, Vicodin does not contain Codeine. Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone.

The tablet with 2064 V 3 marking contains 300mgs of Acetaminophen and 30mgs of Codeine.

So this is a generic for Tylenol 3, but it's nowhere near as strong as the Vicodin. Just to give you an example for comparison, you'd actually have to take 50mgs of Codeine to be equivalent to each 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
