My son is a middle distance athlete. Started having coughing fits after his races. Dr did a lung function test although normal put him on Symbicort to use before he races. Then he got a terrible throat infection and has ever since been coughing all the time. GP then made him take Sumbicort 2 puffs in the morning 2 puffs in the evening, but he is still coughing. then we were referred to pulmonologist again lung function normal. Can the coughing be aro of the Symbicort? He says it feels like there is a hair in his throat?
