An FDA approved therapeutic equivalent is already back. It is available on Amazon from AlphaV Pharmacy. It is the same as Chlortrimeton 12 mg (12 hour). Works great! I've been using it for 2 years now...

Since it was an over the counter product, I don't have any information on this, however, you can contact the manufacturer and ask them, they list a contact number on their site, it's 800-317-2165, from 8am to 5pm CST.

4 years after the initial posting and a year after the last one...it is now 2/26/2018 and I was getting a regular shipment of the generic from Amazon which stopped due to lack of product availability. I went back on and just placed 2 orders with what you noted before finding this website! Thank you for noting the info as well. This happened in New York a few years ago and is happening again. I have to call the manufacturer again and beg them not to discontinue the 12 hour dosage.
