10mg Oxycodone Pink

I take the 10mg pink Oxycodone and I am on disability for whatever reason DSHS\SSI medical insurance makes me pay 2 out of every 3 months for the 10mg tablets the 3rd month is free Why? The 5 mg tablets are also partially covered only 90 tablets are covered (free). I have a 28 day supply every month #112 if 5mg per my request no more than 4 in 24hr period written on the bottle or #56 10mg with (at my request no more than 2 in 24hr written on bottle.) I was switching back and forth to avoid being charged because without notice they stopped covering the Oxycodone the 1st time I was given my prescription of 112# 5mg they docked my amount to 90 tab because that's all dshs would cover and they refused to give me the remaining 22 because you can't pay cash on a dshs paid script. I would like to know why I'm paying $50.99 8 months out of the year for my pain meds (#56 10mg Oxycodone)? Also I would love information about any coupons, discounts, discount savings or membership cards that could help me pay for my meds. Thanks :-)

I have a neurodegenerative disease and I pay around $300 a month out of pocket for just the basic meds to treat symptoms (it can be thousands for treatments). I am prescribed 90, 10mg oxycodone a month... HEB (a large grocery store change) however charges me anywhere from $17.70-$35 per fill. Their "cash pay discount" is actually cheap... This drug is slightly more popular than comparable drugs. It is available in both generic and brand versions. Generic oxycodone is covered by most Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower. Best of luck!
Hi Angie,
I don't know the full details of your insurance coverage, but not having to pay for the 3rd month of pills certainly sounds like a good thing to have going for you, is it not? However my guess is that you'd probably have to contact your insurance company directly to have them decode their web of policies and benefits regarding payments for your medication. I would imagine that one of their representatives would have the inside scoop on why things are set up the way they are on your account...
As for coupons, I know MedsChat offers a free Rx Savings Card that can be used at over 60,000 pharmacies across the US. It reportedly helps you save anywhere from 15-75% off your prescription.
You can view/print more details in the link below:

I hope this helps!
