10 Mg Oxycodone Withdrawal

Ive been taking 20 mg oxycodone daily for the past 6 months just to take the edge off, didnt think it would be that big of a deal because Im not very familiar with the drug. Before that i was a heavy H addict for 13 years, but have been clean for the past year after going through a 2 year program at a commune. The last 2 days Ive been taking half a pill (5 mg) early in the day before work, than another 5 mg after work to somehow get throught the day. I got 3 days to myself now. I know its not comparable to the numerous weeks, months and years of withdrawals Ive gone through but its always messed up kicking this. What are the best household remedies i can use and can i get off this garbage in these 3 days?

Hello, Quickz!

If you're down that low, the withdrawals at this point should be pretty minor. I don't think they'll be quite completely over in the 3 days, though.

Have you considered asking your doctor for assistance?

If they say it's okay, Imodium can sometimes be used to prevent the diarrhea and gastrointestinal effects of withdrawal.

You should better than messing with this stuff again. Although your phisical withdrawal is ending there is a protracted mental side to it and that's what's hard to deal with. Remember one day at a time and never look back. Good luck and stay strong.

I was on 30mgs Percocet .I had my pain doctor taper me down to 10mgs just 7 weeks due to Medicare. Then I seen him he wanted to keep me lower than the 30mgs I started with..so the 7 week taper wasn't too bad, chills about all..ok now I did taper the 5mgs off the 15mgs on my 6th day got some problems minor. I,m going a lot slower my taper is a 2.5 mg drop every 12-14 days till I reach 2.5mgs then 7 days then jump off..I also detoxed methadone yrs ago. That was bad!! is my taper to spred out for the low mgs? I've been on this dose 4 yrs. never higher.no one ever says much how to taper low mgs..I know the higher mgs you are, you can taper faster till you hit 30mgs,then a lot slower. Also my back pain will be in rebound pain. thank you

you may, but it be minor sleep problems,RLS. you may get the chills for a week. Its mostly for people on much higher doses,and a longer period of time, so say you was on 15 mgs a day for 3 months everyday, yes you would have full WD,S.but keep in mind were not all the same. Still the most problem is doing a longer time span then the amount. now you your body may not even be tolerant to 15mgs or it may?? how would you take 1 15 mg tab a day, unless there Roxy's..good luck.

Hi I'm going through similar situation except I was on suboxine for a year. I stopped that cold turkey well kind of. After 4 days I went to Dr and he gave me script for 10mg oxycodone. I immediately gave to my wife and am currently taking 1 at 7 am thenot 1 around bed so I can sleep. It seems keep the withdrawl away but I'm scared to go through cause I have very physically demanding job and I know thexactly lack of energy is going to make me want to relapse. Help please
