10 Mg Vicodin

I really don't understand the big deal about everyone wanting Vicodin. I have had to take it for the past 10yrs for chronic pain and would give anything to not have to take it. There is no high just the ease up of the pain so I can work. Which I was told I would never do again. My ex-husband used to steal them and try and make me believe I would get up and take them and not remember. Ended that marriage. Then he started drinking again. Makes no sense why you would want to take them if you didn't have to.

The main reason that some people want them and abuse them is due to the fact that not everyone reacts the same to every medication.

The Hydrocodone in Vicodin is a narcotic opiate, so some people do get a a high feeling and euphoria, when they take it.

These effects do usually wear off, once someone's body gets used to the medication, which is also why some people will keep raising the amount they take, so they start getting that high and euphoric feeling, again.

I have never abused them, because I don't like the high feeling that they cause, but just as an example, when I was on pain management and taking Morphine, it never caused it, it just made me very tired and I would sleep a lot. The same was true, when I was given Dilaudid in the hospital. However, I do get a high from Oxycodone, even at a very low dose of 5mgs, so I hated using it.

But many people aren't like me and they do enjoy the high it gives them.
