10-325 Vicodin Vs 7.5-325 Vicodin

I have MS and have used vicodin for specific MS related pain relief for over 4 years. I had been taking 7.5-500 vicodin but they have since been discontinued due to the high level of acetaminophen. I take up to 4 pills a day of 7.5-325 vicodin. My question is would changing from 7.5-325 to 10-325 vicodin create the possibility that I may not need up to 4 pills per day? I want to discuss this with my MS doctor because my layman thinking is that I probably wouldn't need 4 pills a day and therefore not be taking so much acetaminophen.

Yes, it could and is a viable idea to discuss with your doctor. You could also consider switching to something that doesn't have Acetaminophen in it.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
