They are different antibiotics, but that doesn't guarantee that you won't find more that you are allergic to, that's the way it tends to work, those who are allergic to one, or more medications, usually discover more that cause allergic reactions.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
