I took a percocet on accident thinking it was my old higher dose of kalonopin i am on suboxon i didnt realize to look it up till i felt hot flashes i could feel my heart beating in my head and had bad stomach cramps and body flushing and face red. Why is this i took my suboxon about 4 milagrams this morning and the percocet about an hour ago what is going on can anyone explain should i be concerned and when is it ok for me to take my regular scheduked suboxon ## What dosage is the Percocet that you took? I take about 150mgs of percocet 30mgs a day and I want to know if I take methadone will it help with the withdrawal & shakes of the stopping the percocet dose every day? I have used methadone to come off of percocets before, but it was at a way lower dose.. I know suboxone's what is recommended but from what I'm told at my dose methadone is stronger if I use it right. ## In my honest opinion I don't think that Methadone will be of the best help, seeing as there is a possibly unsafe interaction between Methadone and the Oxycodone found in Percocet. I'm so aware of the returning withdrawal symptoms since I dropped down from 1/2 strip to 1/4 strip of Suboxone. Is it the closer you get to being done with the Subs the stronger the withdrawal symptoms occur? I've been on the 1/4 strip for 8 days now. I haven't been able to sleep, constant turning, weird leg feelings. I don't want to go up a 1/4 as I need off of it! I've been on this crap since end of Feb. when I was detoxed from Fentanyl 25 mcg and Percocet. These were prescribed, after numerous surgeries since 2005. I know suboxtons are what is recomended but from what I'm told @ my dose methadone is stronger if I use it right ## Well the main issue is that the Methadone itself is very addictive and you could end up trading one problem for another. That is the reason that Suboxone has become the preferred addiction treatment option, because it has helped many more people become drug free, rather than have to stay on a lifetime maintenance dose of it, as happens with most people that use Methadone.
