What Is Zan X Used For Pain
100+ Topics Founda drug that helps with anxiety ## I just heard that if you get pain meds from two different doctors that you are breaking the law ## Are you possibly referring to Xanax? If so, it contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, which is used to anxiety, and nervous disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, and headache. Baddadd, yes, if they are in the same medication class, it is not legal, it would be best to have everything prescribe by one doctor, unless some non-controlled substances are being prescribed by your PCP, and the others are being prescribed by a specialist, in which case, they should not overlap.
I have had moderate to severe back pain for several years now, and have been prescribed meloxicam, vicodin, zanaflex, flexoril, and percocet, just to nam a few. i ignored the pain for several years, but it got to the point where i had to get it checked out. after getting an mri, they discovered several problems with my lower back. degenerative bone disease, slipped discs, arthritis, etc. Most of this is due to the nature of my work, and a couple of motorcycle wrecks. Here is my main question and problem. Out of all of the things that I have been given, I find that oxycodone works the best for me personally, without making me drowsy, or having any other adverse side affects. My doctor was giving me 90 extra strength vicodin per month, with another 90 percocets to use during the extra bad...

dosing schedule of 4 mg. for chronic insomnia ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Zanaflex is a short active muscle relaxant, it can cause some drowsiness as a side effect, according to the FDA, but it is not useful for treating insomnia, due to its short duration of efficacy. Its other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been taking for years. No problem. I got a series of health issues in a row. I was in a lot of pain. I took way much. I never even thought I would be almost unbearable d.t s. Do you have anything that helps that is not addictive. I have been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. IMM REL capsules to be taken 2-3 every 4 hrs. for shingles pain. I have never taken this before, however I have chronic pain due to a right hip injury 6 years ago and normally take fiorinal #3 for that and also migraine headaches. I am in a'lot of pain and I am praying this med. will help. I was also prescribed lyrica 75 mg, Valtrex and I already take lexapro and zanax if needed. I am very cautious with medicine. Does anyone have any advice for me? ## Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, it is also highly addictive. The IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, which means the medication is released immediately to start helping with your pain, rather than taking 15 to 20 minutes like regular release tablets. Aside from the addictive p...
difference between hydrocodone and hydrocloride ## I am not certain exactly what you mean by this. Hydrocodone Bitarate is a narcotic analgesic, used to treat severe pain. A hydrochloride just signifies that something is a salt of that particular substance, such as Pyridine Hydrochloride. So, medically they are unrelated. Do you have any other questions? ## I find that whenever I buy a medication or a vitamin I have to check if it contains hydrochloride.. if it does I have to avoid it because within a couple of days I have a terrible burning sensation in my gut apart from zantac and slippery elm is there anything else I can do to ease the pain
white rectangular ## That pill description does not provide enough information to confirm what this is, however, if you are referring to Xanax, the active ingedient is Alprazolam. Que debo hacer. ## Well I'd see your Doctor, perhaps get some blood work done too? ## Xanax and Zanaflex are not the same thing, the tablet with the R 180 marking contains 4mgs of Tizanidine, it is a muscle relaxant, the generic for Zanaflex. It is used to help alleviate the pain associated with strains, sprains and spasms. It is manufactured by Par Pharmaceuticals. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly includ...
Orange, maybe peach colored, looks like a stop sign, has a W on one side and 75mg on the other. ## They can look different, since generics are also available, however, yes, the one you've asked about is a generic or store brand that contains 75mgs of Ranitidine, the active ingredient in Zantac. I used to drink a lot of alcohol. Everytime I was drinking for too many days, there was nausea, tachycardia, feeling heart beats all over my abdomen while resting and loss of appetite, so I assumed taking zantac would cause these symptoms to go away earlier while I'll quit alcohol for a few days to make sure they will. So, two days ago I started taking the pills. I took the first one along with one bottle of whiskey, and then new symptoms started instead of the old ones to go away: I have stomach pain in certain spots. I never knew stomach could cause pain only in a little spot, like it's a blade. The pain was mainly underNEATH my left rib cage and right in the diaphragm, but it would occassionally travel to other certain little spots of my abdomen too, as well as the left side ...
I have been taking Zanidip for 6 months and have aching muscles in my legs and muscle weakness. I can no longer go to the gym and am in intense pain after walking. I stopped for 10 days but the pain has not gone away. How long doe it take for the pain to subside? ## Zanidip contains the active ingredient Lercanidipine, which is a calcium channel blocker, these are usually used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. Have you consulted your doctor? If you have one of these medical conditions, it can be very dangerous to stop taking your medication and just let it get out of control. There are other medications on the market that you can try. The symptoms you experienced are considered severe side effects and they can take several weeks to abate. In addition, stopping this me...
I've been on oxycontin 80s for yrs. A new pain mgmt doctor says I'm taking too much and has also refused to prescribe ativan 1mg 2 per day. I have been on a rollercoaster ride with meds being changed. I was given Zanaflex and Topamaze. Will these meds help me? Oxycontin dropped from 160mg 2xday, to 1 tab 3xday, no anxiety meds. Also changed Soma to Zanaflex. I didn't sleep much before this change, now not more than 2hrs a day. HELP!! A lot of yrs. of pain. I can't work anymore. I've raised a family, been a wife, raised Foster Children (My Children too). I love them all. I'm now a GrandMother that hasn't been there for her Grandbabies. I realize that I am new to this site so please understand that I don't usually complain about what I face in life. But her...
I'm new to phoenix and need a docter that will continue to write me the meds I have been prescribed for 4 years oxycodone and zanax dalid ## Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see specialists, a general practitioner will not be able to prescribe them for you. For you, that will likely also mean 2 specialist, one for pain management and the other a Psychiatrist for the Xanax. All of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, constipation and dry mouth. It might be easiest to find yourself a new PCP and have them refer you to someone. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
i have recently been prescribed zanaflex. I was told it's a mix of xanax and flexirl. I was just wondering if anyone else has taken the drug and does food really effect it. ## Hi. I just had back surgery 10 days ago. Because of the length and sverity of my condition (a double herniaton of the L-5 disc) I have had severe muscle spasms all up and down both legs and in my back. It just so happens that I have just completed my certivicate in drug and alcohol rehab counseling., and am finishing up a course in PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY. I've just started taking this drug, since I told my doctor that I can't handle FLEXERIL, which is NOT an anti-inflamitory or a muscle relaxer. Flexeril is a benzodiazapine - a sedative, which is why it is sometimes prescribed for muscle pain. There is NO ...
First off, I took the prescribed dose and it literally did nothing. I do suffer from muscle spasms and it didn't even help that. But the crazy thing is I'm on Valium and was asking my doctor to switch back to xanax since I was previously on that and the Valium just isn't working anymore. He then writes me for Zanaflex instead! I need a new doctor in the Phoenix area... I can't deal with this constant trial and error of meds paying out of pocket for crap medications when I know what works best for me. I've been dealing with this for over 10 years. I'm also on suboxone for pain management so it's hard to even find a dr who will write a benzo with that... but I suffer debilitating panic attacks and I have a 6 month old baby. I told him the Valium isn't worki...
can U use pramadol with Prozac & Zanax ? ## Is it possible to use the drug pramadol with Prozac & Zanax for back and leg pain when needed ## Hello, John! How are you? Did you mean Tramadol? The main concern would be between it and the Prozac, since they can both raise Serotonin levels in the brain, which can lead to a dangerous condition called Serotonin Syndrome, if it becomes too elevated. Thus, you should only take them together, if your doctor has prescribed them both and is monitoring you regularly for any possible problems. The FDA classifies Tramadol as an opioid, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
My doc prescribed 15mg Amrix for a "severely herniated disc. This is the only new thing I'm taking. Today was 3rd day & my stomach hurts extremely badly. I took a Prilosec, Zantac 150mg & TUMS, to no avail. Stomach pain is listed in the Package Insert. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks! ## Sorry to hear about your situation. I also looked up the side effects of Amrix (Cyclobenzaprine) and found the following symptoms listed on NIH.gov, categorized as rare side effects: Bloated feeling or gas Indigestion / constipation Nausea or vomiting Stomach cramps or pain I would encourage you to contact your doctor if the symptoms become too bothersome or severe. He/she may be able to recommend some other alternative to this medication. I hope you get around to feeling better...
I've been taking tizanadine /zanaflex for 10 years at 36 mgs per day. That's the max dose allowed. I had daily migraines for 3 years along with spine and neck djd and insomnia. It helps with all of this. I lost my pcp a couple of months ago and do not want get get off of this medication. It allows me to live without pain and function. My new pcp wants me off and when I cut down, I have horrible panic attacks and severe high blood pressure. Any suggestions? I have to find a new pcp but don't want to dr hop. I also have to function daily. I also live with severe anxiety and panic attacks and my psychiatrist has me on Xanax. Tapering down from zanaflex causes major anxiety. I was fine until my pcp retired. Is there a safe taper? ## Hello, Anna Marie! How are you doing? I'm ...
I was rear ended by a Semi 15 years ago and have various back problems that are only getting worse. I have SI joint dysfunction, degenerative disc disease, facet something, sciatica bulging disks, and the list goes on. I have already had 6 lumbar shots, 2 SI shots and 1 epidural in the last 3 months. NONE of them have helped and some have made me worse. I have been on Norco 10's for 5 years. They now do nothing for my pain. I need something stronger and I do not know how to approach with my pain management Dr on my next visit? I do not want to seem like a drug seeker, but I want to be able to participate in life. Play catch with my son, empty the dishwasher, mop the floors. I also take Lyrica, Valium and Zanaflex (which is a joke and does nothing for me). I have built up a tolerance...
My Dr. took my Zanax away because I am on pain killers. I desperately need them back. I walked out of my job last week because my anxiety and depression were so bad. If I would have had a Zanax I wouldn't have done that. I now have nothing to take for anxiety and I am not doing well. ## If the doctor prescribing you Xanax is not a Psychiatrist, you need to see one. In almost all cases when the doctor prescribing a benzodiazepine is a Psychiatrist and the doctor prescribing the pain killers is a pain management doctor there is not a problem. ## I have a problem with that though BL. Most Psychiatrists charge rate of $500 or more and don't take Insurance. I'd rather go to a regular GP for Xanax and spend a $20 copay. ## Can you tell me what tablet this is and what for.they are....
