after 6 weeks of 1.0, i have been weaning for a month, and have had 2 days completely off. But I am feeling, on and off, lousy!!!! I refuse to medicate myself anymore and have thrown all the rest of my lorazepam down the kitchin sink.

I am wondering how long before I feel better? - Filed in Lorazepam

Am glad you are able to wean off, its extremely hard to do so when taking it for a long time. I know, I've been taking it for over 15 years, and am trying to wean off myself, but very slowly. I used to take 2mg., at night and 1/2 mg when I would have a serious panic attack (while driving). Right now am down to 1 1/2 mg. Keep up the good work and if you can try something else perhaps like Comforti tablets from a Health Food Store. They seem to work with no side effects. That may become my route, since Activas was sold out to WalMart in 2012. And Sandoz is backordered for this generic medication.

Hello, Littlegirl! How are you?

You weren't really on it for a very long time, so that coupled with the weaning should greatly shorten the duration of the withdrawal symptoms, so they shouldn't last longer than a few days.

Is there anything else I can help with?
