I took suboxone for two years three strips a day, went cold turkey n Ima just be honest, it was the most horrible experience of my life. It binds to your brain receptors and that's why the period takes so long ....22 days of pure misery. But if you know you need to stop them with will power and you will need someone around to help.....you can do it....now I'm back on norco 5. I take 4 a day for shoulder surgery. Subutex is a worse withdrawal than opiates.

Char if I'm not mistaken I think the test has to be specifically looking for the ingredient of subutex (buprenorphine). but even if i'm wrong it should not be detected in an oral test after 3 days or so. does that make sense?

However it is important to do everything you can to help yourself during this time frame since your body will be in a state of recovery. Nourish yourself with the right kinds of food and drinks, take vitamins, go for a long walk or a short run, and pretty much anything to keep your body moving each and every day.
