Looking for advice! I was a faithful addict on oxycotton sorry about spelling, for about 5 to 6 yrs. I've been on suboxone for 8 yrs and terribly addicted to that now. Finally trying to taper on small dose now having a very hard time, lost my job can't stay awake so now I've been prescribed modifinal. I've read some online about it and just started today now a little scared because what I've read is that this is also addicting. Am i on another journey i don't want to be on? I don't have very good past with will power and scared it's starting all over again. Please help!!!! I have a lot of bad things going on in my life and this could be another easy way out? - Filed in Suboxone

Yes, Modafanil is classified by the FDA as a stimulant, so it could also be habit forming. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, mood swings, irritability and anorexia.

Did you discuss your addictive tendency with your doctor? There are other options they can prescribe that wouldn't be as risky.
