It does not go bad, nor does it get dangerous.  &lt;br/&gt;  &lt;br/&gt; Sometimes the ingredients may lose a little effectiveness, but that will not happen until much longer AFTER the expiration date listed on the package.  &lt;br/&gt;  &lt;br/&gt; That expiration date is really just a sell by date, making sure that stores move it off of their shelves by then, so when the consumer purchases it to use, they still have time left for the product to have maximum effectiveness. &lt;br/&gt;  &lt;br/&gt; Same goes for toothpaste, mouthwash and most other toiletries. No need to toss it out.</description>
